
Marvi Malik, 35, of Pakistan Peoples Party senior leader Sherry Rehman’s daughter, passed away on Sunday after a brain haemorrhage. She was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Karachi where she had been admitted five days prior. Her condition worsened three days before her death, necessitating ventilation.
Her funeral prayer is set for Monday at 3:30pm at DHA Phase 8, followed by burial in a local cemetery. President Asif Ali Zardari offered condolences, praying for her forgiveness and strength for the family. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described the loss as “indescribable grief,” offering heartfelt condolences.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah conveyed sorrow over the sudden death, while senior minister Sharjeel Inam Memon expressed deep sympathy and prayed for her elevated status in the afterlife. PPP leader Shazia Marri called the news deeply saddening, describing it as “irreparable.”
