IPOR Survey Highlights Strong Support for Maryam Nawaz’s Leadership

A recent IPOR (Institute for Public Opinion Research) survey reveals that 69% of people are satisfied with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s leadership in Punjab. The survey, based on the two-year performance of the Punjab government, indicates strong support for governance, sanitation, and welfare initiatives.

The public opinion survey shows that 32% rated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s performance as “outstanding,” while 31% called it “good.” PML-N (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz) has secured 42% public popularity in Punjab. The launch of development projects has further increased the Chief Minister’s popularity, with 55% of respondents stating they would vote for Maryam Nawaz Sharif based on performance.

The survey also highlights that the “Suthra Punjab” program of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz received 33% preference. Key sectors of improvement during this period included women welfare and protection at 30%, public transport at 29%, and education at 27%.

26% of respondents described law and order as improved, while 25% viewed infrastructure positively. The survey involved responses from 7,000 citizens, with equal participation of men and women. It also found that 69% of individuals aged between 18 to 40 expressed positive views.

Overall, the survey indicates that Punjab is moving in the right direction (65%), with satisfaction in sanitation and municipal services at 56%.
