Under the “Clean Punjab” program, every city in Punjab is being transformed towards zero-waste goals. This initiative has received international recognition for the first time.

Maryam Nawaz highlighted that garbage contributes to climate change, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, and pollution challenges. She added that landfills are being converted into green forests and solar parks, while plastic bags have been banned.

The Chief Minister also announced subsidies for super-seeders in farms for waste management. Modern electric vehicles and mechanized systems have been introduced for zero-waste management, with strict environmental regulations enforced in factories and industries.

“Waste-to-Value” projects are being launched to convert waste into energy and useful products.
