Memon Day, celebrated globally on April 10th, marks a significant milestone for the Memon community worldwide.
The decision to establish this day was formalized during the 21st World Memon Organisation Charitable Foundation (WMO) AGM held on November 11th, 2023.
The initiative was spearheaded by WMO President Salman Iqbal, with the support of key figures including Iqbal Memon Officer, President of the All India Memon Jamaat Federation, and Muhammad Shabbir Haroon, President of the All Pakistan Memon Federation. Together, they recognized April 10th as a day dedicated to commemorating Memon heritage and fostering unity for the betterment of humanity.
Memon Day symbolizes the core principles of the World Memon Organisation, emphasizing unity and service to humankind. It serves as an opportunity for the global Memon community to come together and engage in acts of service and philanthropy.
The Memon community, with its roots in Sindh since the 15th century, has flourished and expanded across the globe, particularly in Pakistan, India, the UK, South Africa, Sri Lanka, North America, and the Middle East.

Moreover, they have utilized their wealth and prosperity to support charitable initiatives, including the construction of mosques, orphanages, hospitals, community centers, and schools in numerous countries.
