The Meteorological Department’s Early Warning Centre in Karachi has predicted significant changes in weather patterns for the afternoon of Saturday. Strong south-western winds from the sea are expected, which could bring cooler temperatures as they move into the city during the day. However, northeast winds over Balochistan will continue to affect the region throughout the morning and evening hours.

City residents can anticipate dry conditions on Tuesday with a minimum temperature of 17°C and a maximum reaching up to 31°C. The weather is expected to cool down slightly at night, according to the department’s forecasts. Residents should also expect cooler nighttime temperatures compared to daytime highs.

This forecast comes after the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had predicted pleasant weather for Lahore during the Basant celebrations. From February 6 to 8, Lahore will experience dry days with partly cloudy skies, and temperature ranges are expected between 20°C and 22°C.

Meanwhile, in other parts of the country, state broadcaster Radio Pakistan has reported mainly cold and dry weather. However, hilly areas may experience very cold conditions during the next twelve hours. Temperature readings across major cities showed:

Islamabad: 5°C
Lahore: 12°C
Karachi: 17°C
Peshawar: 7°C
Quetta: 2°C
Gilgit: 4°C
Muzaffarabad: 4°C
Murree: 0°C

Residents are advised to keep an eye on these weather updates and take necessary precautions for the changing conditions.
