Michael Keaton is mourning the loss of his late Beetlejuice costar Catherine O’Hara. The Spotlight star took to Instagram on Friday with a touching post for the 71-year-old actress who passed away.
“In the poignant note, Michael posted a picture from their press tours together in 2024,” began the tribute. “She’s been my pretend wife, my pretend nemesis and my real life true friend. This one hurts. Man am I gonna miss her.”
He also seemed to mention Catherine’s husband, Beau.
Stars are honoring Catherine after the news of her passing was announced by her manager on January 30th. Alec Baldwin, another Beetlejuice costar, shared his grief in a statement: “Catherine O’Hara was one of the greatest comic talents in the movie business,” he said. “She had a quality all her own and my sympathy goes out to Bo and their family.”
The late actress played the role of Macaulay Culkin’s mother in both Home Alone movies. Catherine died at her residence in Los Angeles, following a brief illness.
