Minister Chairs Meeting on Hajj Arrangements in Islamabad

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf chaired a meeting on Wednesday to review arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims undertaking the Hajj in Makkah and Madinah.

The gathering, which included Religious Affairs Secretary Abrar Ahmed Mirza, Additional Secretary Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chohan, DG Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro, and other senior officers via Zoom, focused on finalizing arrangements for the first flight of the Road to Makkah project from Lahore.

Yousaf emphasized the need for hospitals and dispensaries in Makkah and Madinah before the arrival of pilgrims, as well as ensuring top-notch hospitality for Pakistani Hajj participants. He also stressed maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders to guarantee optimal arrangements.

The minister expressed satisfaction with the ministry’s ongoing services during Hajj, including training, vaccination, distribution of gifts, and adherence to Saudi laws by pilgrims. Yousaf thanked the Saudi Minister of Hajj and the Saudi Ambassador for their cooperation.
