Moon Not Sighted in Pakistan: Zilqad To Begin On May 10

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Pakistan’s official moon sighting body, has declared that the moon of the month of Zilqad 1445 AH was not sighted in the country. ]

As a result, the month of Shawwal will conclude on Thursday, May 9, and Friday, May 10 will mark the beginning of Zilqad nationwide.

Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired the meeting where this announcement was made following reports from various regions across Pakistan confirming the non-sighting of the moon.
