Mother and Daughter Stranded in Lahore Manhole Accident

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A mother and her daughter fell into an open manhole near Lahore’s Data Darbar on Wednesday. Rescue 1122 launched a search operation after receiving an emergency call.

Emergency vehicles were dispatched to the site, where two people had reportedly fallen into a sewer due to poor lighting near Bhati Gate, close to the main entrance of Data Darbar. A Rescue 1122 spokesperson confirmed that the caller reported a woman and her daughter as the victims.

Sources within the administration stated that manholes were constructed during excavation work at Bird Market. The incident occurred when the mother and daughter walked past the area without noticing an open manhole due to insufficient lighting.
