Munim Zafar, leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, announced plans for a significant protest on February 14. The party intends to stage a sit-in outside the Sindh Assembly, aiming to highlight grievances and advocate for better governance in Karachi.

Zafar highlighted that his party will use this sit-in as an opportunity to press for the establishment of a mega city government with authority. They also seek answers from authorities regarding governance issues plaguing the city over the past 18 years. He warned against any form of high-handed tactics by the government, stating that the protest would proceed regardless.

The party leader emphasized that their efforts are aimed at addressing long-standing problems within Karachi and securing justice for its citizens. Zafar’s announcement has already sparked considerable controversy in local political circles.

This sit-in will mark the third phase of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi’s ongoing movement, following previous protests like the Karachi march. The aim is to continue until all issues are resolved.
