Slow Internet in Pakistan Expected Until September 1st

Internet services are currently disrupted nationwide, with the cause yet to be pinpointed, though preliminary reports suggest international traffic issues. Notably, Meta platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram remain operational.

The recent installation of a firewall by the government, intended to control social media and regulate internet traffic, may be related to the disruptions. The firewall uses deep packet inspection (DPI) technology, and its testing could be contributing to the current issues.
