The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a substantial increase of Rs5.75 per unit in electricity rates for K-Electric consumers. The hike, announced on Wednesday, is the result of the monthly fuel price adjustment (FPA) for May.

For the month of May, the electricity tariff will rise by Rs2.59 per unit, with an additional Rs3.16 per unit increase for June. These adjustments will be reflected in the electricity bills issued in October and November.
