Nicholas Brendon, renowned for his portrayal in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, died at 54.
His family announced his sudden death on Friday while he was asleep.
The statement from his family said, “We are heartbroken to share the passing of our brother and son, Nicholas Brendon. He passed in his sleep of natural causes.”
Brendon’s fame came primarily from acting roles. Recently, he found joy in painting and art, sharing it with loved ones and fans alike.
In 2023, he disclosed suffering a heart attack and being diagnosed with congenital heart defect.
His family noted, “While Nicholas had past struggles, he was on medication to manage his condition and was optimistic about the future at the time of his passing.”
They requested privacy during this period of grief and celebration.
