Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a significant rise in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices due to escalating Middle Eastern tensions.
The price per kilogram of LPG has been increased by 4.95 rupees, resulting in an overall increase for an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder from 3,584.90 rupees to 3,643.41 rupees.
OGRA’s official notification states that the new rates are effective immediately and have set the price per kilogram at 308.76 rupees for June.
The authority attributes this hike to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
