In Islamabad, the opposition alliance has vowed to continue its sit-in outside Parliament House until its demands are met. The Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain Pakistan announced that its protest must remain in place until a party representative is granted access to meet Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaan (PTI).

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Opposition Leader in the Senate, underscored this stance, asserting that his office should be allowed to meet with PTI leader Imran Khan. Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, echoed these sentiments.

Salman Akram Raja, PTI’s Secretary General, stated that the sit-in would continue until a party representative can meet Imran Khan. Asad Qaiser, PTI’s leader, reported that during today’s opposition meeting, Allama Nasir Abbas and Barrister Gohar briefed parliamentarians on consultations ongoing with the party’s central leadership.

The alliance highlighted their key demand: allowing Imran Khan’s personal physician to meet him. They warned that if their demands remain unmet, they will continue indefinitely. Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur indicated that PTI leaders would also maintain their protest outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.

The sit-in has now entered its fourth day over concerns regarding Imran Khan’s possible hospital transfer.

A medical report on Imran Khan’s eye examination surfaced recently. Conducted by a board of specialists, including Professor Dr Nadeem Qureshi from Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital and Professor Dr Muhammad Arif Khan from PIMS Islamabad, the examination took place on February 15, 2026.

The opposition alliance remains steadfast in their demands despite the progress made so far. Their continued vigil at Parliament House highlights their determination to ensure a fair process for PTI leader Imran Khan.
