The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has extended its ban on Indian aircraft using Pakistani airspace until June 23, 2026. The latest Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), issued on Tuesday, reinforces the restrictions that apply to all commercial airlines registered in India, as well as military and privately-owned aircraft belonging to Indians or operated by Indian entities.

The closure of Indian flights was initially imposed on April 23 last year. This extension means Indian commercial operators will have to navigate longer routes for international destinations heading west.
