In a major anti-narcotics operation in the North Arabian Sea, the Pakistan Navy intercepted and confiscated a massive consignment of drugs, including Indian-made narcotic pills, hashish, ice, and heroin. According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday, the seized haul is valued at $145 million in the international market.
The operation, carried out in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), resulted in the recovery of approximately 2000 kilograms of hashish, 370kg of ice, 50kg of heroin, and 10,000 illegal Indian-manufactured pills.
The seized narcotics have been handed over to ANF officials. The military’s media wing emphasized the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to countering illegal activities and safeguarding the region’s maritime borders.
“The Pakistan Navy remains vigilant at all times to prevent illegal activities in the region’s maritime boundaries,” the statement read, highlighting the Navy’s efforts in combating non-traditional threats.
