Pakistan Ranks Third Globally at Heimtextil 2026 with Record 287 Exhibitors.

Pakistan Strengthens Global Textile Presence with Record Exhibitors and Innovation Recognition at Heimtextil 2026.

Heimtextil 2026 concluded today in Frankfurt, with Pakistan delivering a standout performance by emerging as the third-largest exhibiting nation, with a record 287 exhibitors, ranking after China and India at the world’s leading home and contract textiles fair.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) played an active role in coordinating and supporting Pakistan’s participation at the fair. The event itself brought together over 3,000 exhibitors from 66 countries and more than 50,000 visitors, while TDAP offered logistical and promotional assistance to enhance Pakistan’s international visibility.

The fair also highlighted Pakistan’s innovation strengths. Three Pakistani professionals were honored with the DNFI Innovation in Natural Fibers Award for applied research and industry collaboration: Muhammad Faraz (main author), Dr. Qasim Siddiqui (co-author), and Muhammad Fawad Farooq (industrial partner). The award, presented during a ceremony at the fair, recognized their practical contributions to advancing natural fiber technologies and sustainable options for the textile sector.

Mr. Main Attiq-ur-Rehman, Chairman of PCMEA Pakistan, stated regarding the carpet section: “This is the first time Pakistani companies are participating in the carpet section of Heimtextil, and they have received very positive and encouraging feedback from buyers. This response reflects the growing international interest in Pakistan’s carpet industry.”

“Pakistani textile industry leaders highlighted positive buyer response at Heimtextil 2026.” Mr. Furqan Ahmad, Sr. Manager Production of Sapphire, expressed that “The exhibition was highly successful with a strong visitor turnout and a very positive response from buyers. The exhibition is providing valuable opportunities for productive meetings and meaningful business discussions.”

Mr. Zubair Hameed, GM Marketing of Gohar Textiles, said: “Heimtextil is a must-visit event for every textile industrialist. We have been exhibiting at Heimtextil for 25 years, and it remains one of the strongest platforms for lead generation. Many of our key clients from the UK, Gulf, Europe, and the USA were acquired through this exhibition. This year again, we have had very productive meetings and generated strong leads.”

Ms. Resham Shahzad, Director of Arshad Groups, commented: “As a vertically integrated textile company with over 20 years of experience, we are showcasing our latest fabric and design innovations at Heimtextil. Pakistan has a strong presence here, and we are optimistic about its continued growth in the global textile industry.”

Mr. Ahmed Kamal, Chairman & CEO of Kamal Limited, shared: “Had a great time at Heimtextil with productive meetings and good discussions. It was great connecting with visitors and industry professionals.”
