Pakistan, UK pledge deeper cooperation in various sectors

Pakistan and the UK have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors following a detailed review of their relations by leaders from both countries. During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar commended UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper for convening a crucial session on Palestine at the United Nations Security Council.

Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude to Cooper, highlighting how Pakistan and the UK will strengthen ties in various areas as outlined by their leaders during the discussion. Both sides underscored the significance of fostering people-to-people interactions and maintaining high-level engagements. They also pledged continued effective coordination within the UN framework.

Separately, Ishaq Dar engaged in a phone call with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to discuss bilateral cooperation, matters of mutual concern, and their shared perspectives on regional and global developments. The two leaders delved into discussions related to the recent Board of Peace meeting held in Washington.

Both foreign ministers agreed to keep a close watch on issues that are of mutual interest to them. This commitment reflects the strong partnership between Pakistan and the UK, which seeks to leverage their cooperative potential for shared development goals and regional stability.
