PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has reaffirmed its support for Sohail Afridi as the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The announcement came from PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, who described Afridi as a loyal figure within the party’s leadership.
The endorsement is intended to settle questions about the provincial administration’s future as the party navigates a difficult political period.
Afridi’s position has been the subject of speculation, but the chairman’s statement makes clear that the party leadership stands behind him.
The confirmation is also a signal of continuity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where PTI remains the governing party.
