A notification by the Sindh Police announced that Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh will take over as the new DIG Traffic, succeeding Shah.

Reports indicate that Shah’s inadequate handling of traffic management post-Gul Plaza led to severe congestion around the area, obstructing emergency services including the fire brigade. This hindered their ability to reach the scene promptly and effectively.
