Pakistan’s Remittances Soar to $38.3 Billion, PM Shehbaz Sharif Hails Overseas Pakistanis

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction with the record-breaking $38.3 billion in remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis during the fiscal year 2024-25, marking an $8 billion increase compared to the previous fiscal year, according to a statement from the PM Office’s Media Wing.

Highlighting the surge as a positive trend, the prime minister praised the contributions of expatriate Pakistanis, noting that the unprecedented remittance figures reflect their confidence in the national economy.

“This record surge in remittances is a testament to the invaluable role of our overseas Pakistanis and their trust in our economic policies,” PM said.

The prime minister attributed the positive economic indicators to the government’s efforts to steer the country toward stability and prosperity. He reiterated the government’s commitment to sustaining this momentum, emphasizing policies aimed at fostering long-term economic growth.
