Passport Production Doubles with New Printers

The Passport Department has completed the installation of 10 state-of-the-art passport printers, doubling its daily production capacity from 20,000 to 40,000 passports. This enhancement aims to address delays in passport issuance for citizens traveling abroad.

Director General of Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi announced that additional upgrades are on the way, with seven new printers set to arrive at the passport headquarters, along with two dedicated machines for e-passport printing.

Interior Ministry Faces Backlog as Passport Applications Surge to 50,000 Per Day

These advancements are expected to significantly improve efficiency, allowing the department to manage and reduce the existing backlog daily.
