Rudd noted that he was particularly impressed by Jonas’ performance during scenes where the character remained silent but still conveyed deep thoughts and feelings. He described Jonas’ acting as “such good acting” and expressed his amazement at some of what Jonas did in the film.

The actor also mentioned how he initially underestimated Jonas’ talent until the movie’s completion. Rudd was particularly surprised by certain scenes that he didn’t get to film, which Jonas still managed to nail perfectly.

Power Ballad, a feel-good story about music, self-respect, friendship, and ambition, is set to release on June 5, 2026. In the movie, Nick Jonas plays a famous singer, while Paul Rudd portrays a wedding band musician who finds himself in conflict with Jonas after his idea for a song was stolen and turned into a hit.
