This decision excludes Anthropic, an AI startup that has been in dispute with the Pentagon over guardrails for military use of its artificial intelligence tools.

Earlier this year, the Pentagon labeled the widely used AI startup a supply-chain risk, barring its use by the Pentagon and contractors.

The companies involved – SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Reflection, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services – are already integrated into the secret and top-secret network environments.

These partnerships will provide more military access to their products for sensitive topics.
