ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has set a hearing for Monday to address a petition seeking access for Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir stated that the petition filed by Mubashra, Bushra Bibi’s daughter, will be heard on Monday after initial objections from the Registrar’s office were removed.

Lawyers Salman Akram Raja, Ali Bukhari, Naeem Panjotha, and Khalid Yousaf attended the court proceedings. The judge emphasized that coordination with relevant authorities is necessary, suggesting immediate contact with jail officials if not already done.

Justice Tahir asked whether Bushra Bibi had previously been allowed meetings; the lawyer explained that access was inconsistent and family visits have now been blocked.

Petitioners argued for urgent attention due to Bushra Bibi’s recent surgery and medical condition. The court confirmed the petition will be officially numbered and heard on Monday, the first working day after objections are resolved.
