Petroleum Dealers Threatens Nationwide Shutdown on July 5
Talks between the PPDA and government officials failed to reach an agreement, prompting the dealers to move forward with their strike plan. The petrol pumps nationwide will cease operations starting at 6 a.m. on July 5.
A central leader of the association stated that the new taxes imposed by the government are making it increasingly difficult for petrol pump businesses to sustain operations.
