PM Sharif, Qatari Emir Reaffirm Deep Relations; Promote Regional Peace

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening a deep-rooted bond between Pakistan and Qatar. On Tuesday, both leaders engaged in a phone conversation that reflected the strong alliance they share.

The Prime Minister highlighted how the two nations work together to promote peace, stability, and prosperity regionally and globally. In his statement, he emphasized, “We extended heartiest felicitations on the blessed occasion of Ramazan and prayed for peace and tranquility across our communities.”

Sheikh Tamim expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in fostering peace and reconciliation within the Middle East and internationally. On Twitter, Prime Minister Sharif shared that they had a “most warm and cordial conversation,” which included exchanging felicitations on the holy month of Ramazan.

“I conveyed my deep appreciation for Qatar’s diplomatic endeavors to advance peace and unity across the region and beyond,” he added, emphasizing their mutual commitment to fostering harmony globally.

The prime minister further noted, “We exchanged pleasantries on the blessed occasion of Ramazan and prayed for the peace, unity, and tranquility of our Muslim community.”

This latest exchange underscores Pakistan and Qatar’s steadfast partnership in a world fraught with challenges, reaffirming their shared vision for a peaceful and prosperous future.
