PM Sharif Stands with Turkiye, Azerbaijan Over Recent Attacks

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep concern over recent attacks targeting Turkey and Azerbaijan, reaffirming Pakistan’s strong support for its neighbors. He described these acts as reprehensible, warning that they risk exacerbating existing tensions and destabilizing regional peace.

Pakistan has been unequivocally aligned with the Turkish people, who have faced a series of violent assaults recently. In separate social media posts on X, Sharif emphasized his solidarity with Turkey’s brave citizens during this challenging period. He condemned these heinous acts as reprehensible and warned that such actions could lead to further escalation.

In separate statements, Pakistan also echoed its support for Azerbaijan, another country under attack. The government issued a stern condemnation of the deplorable attacks targeting Azerbaijan, stressing the need for dialogue and diplomacy to uphold respect for sovereignty and ensure regional stability.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called upon all parties involved to exercise maximum restraint. He highlighted the importance of diplomatic efforts in addressing these conflicts and maintaining peace within the region.
