Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif recently met with a delegation from the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) to discuss deepening economic ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation. The QBA delegation, led by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani, included prominent Qatari business leaders from sectors such as finance, infrastructure, and energy.
Among the QBA members were Saod Bin Omar Bin Hamad Al-Mana of Al Mana Group, Khalid Ahmed Al Mannai of Mannai Corporation, Salah Mohammed Jaidah from Deutsche Bank, Sheikh Mansoor bin Jassim Al Thani, Nabil Abu Issa of Blue Salon, and Yousuf Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud from Sendian Group. Each expressed interest in Pakistan’s economic landscape, focusing on sectors like energy, technology, and infrastructure.
During the talks, Prime Minister Sharif showcased Pakistan’s potential as an investment destination, emphasizing growth opportunities in energy, infrastructure, and finance. The Qatari delegates responded positively to the Prime Minister’s invitation to invest, underscoring interest in Pakistan’s upcoming projects aimed at creating jobs, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable development. Both sides highlighted the importance of bolstering regional economic stability through bilateral cooperation.
Key Pakistani ministers, including Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Kam Kamal Khan, Mohammad Aurangzeb, and Attaullah Tarar, attended the meeting, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fostering strong Pakistan-Qatar economic ties.
