PM Shehbaz Seeks Report of Court Stays on Government Actions

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed government agencies to compile a comprehensive report on all court-issued stay orders against government actions. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has issued a directive to ministries, departments, and divisions to submit detailed information on these cases.

A recent meeting, led by a special assistant to the Prime Minister, reviewed the progress on gathering data for this report. The PMO has specifically requested information on cases where court stays have lasted more than six months, as well as actions taken by relevant agencies to resolve or lift these orders.

The directive aims to identify and address prolonged legal barriers affecting government operations, with all relevant bodies expected to contribute to this review.
