
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call on Thursday evening from His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.
During their warm and cordial conversation, the two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of Pakistan–Qatar relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the long-standing fraternal ties between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on recent developments in the Middle East.
The prime minister lauded Qatar’s constructive and proactive role in advancing peace, dialogue, and mediation efforts across the region, acknowledging Doha’s contributions toward easing tensions through diplomatic means. He assured the Qatari leadership that Pakistan would continue to play a positive and responsible role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days to further enhance coordination on issues of mutual interest.
