Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a diplomatic visit to China from May 23 to 26. The trip coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
Officials stated that the primary objective of the visit is to bolster their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” and deepen bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including political, economic, and strategic matters.
During his stay, Sharif will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. The discussions are anticipated to revolve around key projects such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), trade, investment, industrial collaboration, agricultural modernization, information technology, science and technology, and people-to-people exchanges.
The visit kicks off in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, where Sharif will preside over a business conference focusing on information technology, telecommunications, battery energy storage systems, and agriculture.
