Pope Leo Addresses War Suffering
Vatican City (Reuters) – Pope Leo has declared the death and suffering caused by the Middle East conflict a “scandal to the whole human family.” This statement comes as the US-Israeli war on Iran enters its fourth week, with the first US pope expressing his dismay over the situation in the region.
In his weekly Angelus prayer, Leo emphasized that the plight of the many victims of these conflicts affects humanity as a whole. He urged for continued prayers to bring about an end to hostilities and pave the way for peace.
