Eight-year-old Muntaha Zahra’s post-mortem report has been released, confirming she was subjected to sexual assault. The child was found dead inside a grocery store building in Sargodha.
The report details multiple severe injuries before her death, including fractured facial and forehead bones, injuries on the right side of her face and head, and severing of the jugular vein. Seven injury marks were located on the neck and upper part of the head.
Police sources stated that the post-mortem report has been included in the investigation, with authorities examining all aspects of the case based on forensic findings and other evidence.
Meanwhile, Muntaha’s family alleges influential individuals are attempting to shield remaining suspects using their influence with the police. The victim’s uncle, Muhammad Shahid, claims five suspects were arrested at the scene, one of whom died in an alleged encounter, while no action was taken against the others. Police have not yet commented on these allegations.
