Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a review meeting on Sunday to evaluate ongoing measures for fuel conservation and austerity amid regional tensions. The premier emphasized public relief as top priority, allocating Rs125 billion in savings from the development budget to prevent oil price hikes.

Over the past three weeks, significant relief has been provided to the public. To further protect against global tension impacts, Shehbaz urged citizens to support conservation efforts by minimizing travel and opting for teleconferencing at work.

Relevant authorities were instructed to improve coordination with chief secretaries of all provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
