On Saturday, Prince Edward wished Team GB good luck ahead of Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games. The message was shared on the Royal Family’s social media, where it was accompanied by a caption: “Wishing the best of luck to @ParalympicsGB_official!”

As the Milano Cortina games commenced, the Duke of Edinburgh extended his congratulations and support for Team GB, recognizing their achievements over time as Paralympic athletes.

Prince Edward, the youngest brother of King Charles III, has been Patron of the British Paralympic Association since 2003. His message came shortly after Prince Harry, also a Patron of the Invictus Games, released his own video to support Scott Meenagh, a British para Nordic skier who was once a former British Army soldier.

Scott had represented the UK at the inaugural Invictus Games in London back in 2014. Since then, he continued his competitive journey by participating in the games held in Orlando in 2016 and Toronto in 2017 before embarking on Milano Cortina this year. His participation under the banner of Team GB highlights the sustained support Prince Edward has given to athletes like Scott through their patronage.

“We’re wishing Scott the very best as he begins his Paralympic journey,” stated the caption accompanying Harry’s video, which was shared on Invictus Games’ Instagram account.

This series of messages underscores the Royal Family’s ongoing commitment to supporting disability sports and the dedication of its athletes. As Milano Cortina 2026 unfolds, these supportive communications underscore the broader theme of solidarity between royals and their athlete constituents in the Paralympic arena.
