Prince William and Prince Harry’s private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, reflected on his decade-long tenure guiding the royal brothers through their early careers in an interview with People Magazine. He is currently celebrating the release of his debut novel Beyond the Edge of the Light.
Lowther-Pinkerton described his job as unique, noting it included riding a cross-country motorcycle to keep up with the princes. This experience allowed him to vicariously relive parts of his military youth while guiding the brothers through their entry into armed forces.
He praised both princes for their individual contributions, describing Prince William as “a great king in waiting” and Prince Harry’s Invictus Games Foundation as a “wonderful thing.” Kate Middleton was also highly regarded by Lowther-Pinkerton, who described her as “brilliant.”
Despite the family divide, Jamie remains an optimist about the future of the royal brothers.
