Prince William reportedly has not had a healthy relationship with his brother Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for some time. The Times royal editor Roya Nikkah claimed in a recent podcast that Justin Welby, former Archbishop of Canterbury, was shut out due to Welby’s involvement in the Sussexes’ wedding.
Welby offered guidance to the couple who received a cold shoulder from the royal family at their wedding, according to Nikkah. Tensions escalated with the rest of the royal family during the wedding preparations, leading to an awkward situation when Markle claimed Welby officiated the ceremony privately three days before the official one.
This prompted Welby to issue a statement denying his involvement in the private ceremony, which reportedly made William even more distant from him. The Welby team attempted to reach out to William but was ignored, according to Nikkah, who claims that William holds grudges and chooses sides if someone picks another side.
