Prominent Scholar Maulana Idrees Shot Dead in Charsadda; Two Aides Injured, Police Launch Search

Prominent scholar and former MPA Maulana Idrees was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants in Utmanzai, Charsadda. Police stated that the attackers targeted Maulana Idrees’ vehicle, resulting in his immediate death. Two gunmen accompanying him were seriously injured.

The body of Maulana Idrees has been transferred to a hospital along with the injured individuals. Authorities have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the assailants. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

The attack has caused widespread fear in the community, leading to expressions of sorrow and condolences from local residents, religious figures, and political circles.
