Punjab Government Issues New Kite Flying Rules for 2027
The Punjab government has announced new rules and regulations for kite flying in 2027. The deadline for these measures to be implemented is set for December 30, 2026.
These regulations were introduced under the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to protect citizens’ lives and property.
All residents, building owners, and event organizers are required to comply with these new rules.
The updated kite flying guidelines stipulate that it will only be permitted on secure rooftops with a minimum boundary wall height of three and a half feet.
Child safety has been given special attention. Parents and guardians must supervise children closely and prevent them from approaching roof edges unsupervised.
Violations include running, jumping, hanging from edges, aggressive kite catching on rooftops, and overcrowding the area beyond its capacity.
