Failure to regularly update attendance data could result in disciplinary action, according to officials. District education CEOs have been instructed to ensure full compliance with the new data entry requirements.

The Education Secretary has expressed concern over delays in uploading student admissions and attendance records, emphasizing the need for accurate and complete data.

All records must be updated by April 20, 2026, or face action under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability Act. Monitoring teams will conduct surprise inspections, with head teachers held accountable for any inconsistencies found.

This initiative is part of broader reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and digital record management in Punjab’s public school system.
