Pakistan Railways Announces Restoration of Operations in Balochistan
Railway operations in Balochistan have been restored after a three-day suspension due to “unavoidable circumstances,” according to officials. The Jaffar Express service from Quetta to Peshawar and its return has resumed on Saturday morning, with all services returning to normal schedules.
The suspension earlier affected multiple routes including those to and from Quetta. It came shortly after a deadly explosion near a railway track in Quetta’s Chaman Phatak area resulted in the loss of 14 lives. The incident heightened security concerns across the region, leading to temporary halts in several services such as Bolan Mail and Chaman passenger trains.
Pakistan Railways aims to restore passenger confidence with normal operations now underway.
