In a move aimed at facilitating religious devotion during Ramadan, Pakistan’s federal government has adjusted its work schedules for several months ahead. The establishment division announced new working hours that reflect the Islamic holy month’s guidelines.

For offices operating five days a week, the revised schedule is now from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, while six-day operational offices will adhere to a start time of 9:00 am and conclude at 2:00 pm. A special Friday adjustment has been made; these institutions will close by 12:30 pm instead.

These changes are part of the government’s broader strategy to accommodate religious observances, ensuring that civil servants can participate more actively in Ramadan festivities. The adjustments span multiple months and apply across various departments under federal governance.

This change not only respects religious practices but also underscores the government’s commitment to facilitating a balanced work-life integration during this significant Islamic period.
