Rawalpindi Education Department Set to Launch E-Pension System

The Rawalpindi Education Department is set to launch an e-pension system on January 1, 2024, aiming to facilitate retired teachers, academic officers, and non-teaching staff in the submission of pension cases through a convenient online process. The education department has introduced a dedicated mobile app to streamline the pension application process, allowing applicants to submit and scrutinize pension applications and access relevant information.

The mobile app, scheduled to be launched on December 30, 2023, will provide real-time updates on the status of pension applications. Teachers’ organizations have welcomed this initiative, expressing confidence in the system’s ability to effectively combat corruption and bribery. Muhammad Shafiq Bhalwalia, Basharat Iqbal Raja, and Shahid Mubarak believe that the new online pension system will empower teachers to file appeals conveniently from their homes.
