The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood attended a Brooklyn event on Tuesday to celebrate their new album “Foreign Tongues.” The album follows their Grammy-winning release in 2023 and will debut on July 10. This marks the band’s 25th studio album since its inception in 1962.

The album cover was designed by Nathaniel Mary Quinn, featuring an exaggerated composite of Jagger, Richards, and Wood. At a launch party at New York City’s Weylin venue, the Stones walked the red carpet, posed for pictures, and interviewed with Conan O’Brien.

“Foreign Tongues,” named after the band’s iconic lips-and-tongue logo, preceded by the digital release of its lead single “In the Stars” on Tuesday. The physical version of “In the Stars” will be available on May 15.

Fans were given a preview of “Rough and Twisted” as a limited vinyl-only release in April. Neil McCormick praised it for sounding like an Exile on Main Street track.

The album features drummer Charlie Watts, who died in 2021, and bassist Bill Wyman. It also includes contributions from Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Jagger revealed that producer Andrew Watt had tried to collaborate with McCartney on “Foreign Tongues,” but they never completed a song together. Despite their age, the Stones’ 25th studio album may not be their final release.
