Ukraine escalated drone attacks on Moscow in June, with two strikes within three days targeting a major oil refinery near the city’s ring road. The Kremlin has since vowed to bolster defenses against such assaults.

Russia’s largest employment site, HeadHunter, is recruiting for drone operators to safeguard Moscow using advanced technology and surveillance systems. The ad specifies that candidates need only basic technical skills and an interest in advancing in the field. Compensation starts at 150,000 roubles ($1,950) monthly, less than the average salary in Moscow.

A “Lead Inspector” posting on the site praised the team’s camaraderie, growth opportunities, positive corporate culture, and flexibility in choosing tasks that align with personal interests. The job also offers performance-based pay increases.

The recruitment comes amid Russia staging its deadliest strike of the year against Kyiv, resulting in at least 30 deaths.
