Sargodha Police Save Families Amid Alleged Desecration Outrage

In Sargodha, police intervened to rescue two families in Mujahid Colony from a furious mob, sparked by allegations of desecration.

Sargodha District Police Officer (DPO) Asad Ejaz Malhi confirmed the incident to reporters, stating that the suspect is in custody while investigations continue to ascertain the veracity of the claims.

While the actual occurrence of desecration remains unconfirmed, Mohsin, a resident, informed that two houses and a factory owned by the suspect were set ablaze.

Police authorities assured that the situation is now under control, emphasizing that vigilantism will not be tolerated. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) expressed concerns and urged Punjab Police and district administration to swiftly restore order and ensure accountability for those responsible.
