Saudia Group Unveils Comprehensive Operational Plan for Hajj Season 2024

In anticipation of the upcoming Hajj Season 2024, Saudia Group has revealed its meticulously crafted operational blueprint aimed at facilitating the pilgrimage journey for millions of pilgrims worldwide. With a strategic focus on efficiency and service excellence, Saudia Group has allocated over 1.2 million seats across its fleet of 150 aircraft, ensuring optimal transportation capacity for pilgrims.

Aligned with the visionary directives of the Saudi leadership, Saudia Group’s plan encompasses a 74-day operational period, commencing on May 9th. Specialized teams have been deployed to oversee key areas such as performance monitoring, terminal operations, and coordination with relevant stakeholders, underscoring the commitment to seamless logistical execution.

The national flag carrier will extend its services across five domestic airports, including Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Yanbu, supported by a dedicated workforce of over 11,000 frontline employees and technicians. Notably, the “Makkah Route” initiative will streamline immigration processes for pilgrims, enhancing their overall experience.

Amer Al Khushail, CEO of Saudia Hajj and Umrah, expressed pride in the airline’s ongoing role in serving pilgrims, emphasizing the integration of efforts across sectors to ensure the fulfillment of Vision 2030 objectives. Through strategic agreements with government delegations and travel agents, Saudia Group aims to cater to high-demand markets across continents, offering seamless booking experiences and awareness campaigns on luggage criteria.

In a bid to enhance the spiritual journey of pilgrims, Saudia aircraft have been equipped with specialized features, including screens displaying Miqat announcements and prayer times, along with over 300,000 minutes of Islamic content developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Accessibility remains a priority, with provisions for individuals with disabilities and medical equipment onboard.

Saudia Group’s commitment to service excellence extends to post-pilgrimage procedures, with streamlined luggage collection services and tailored meal options onboard. With a multilingual staff proficient in over 30 languages, Saudia Group ensures efficient communication and service delivery, reaffirming its dedication to enriching the pilgrimage experience for all.
