Security forces in Balochistan successfully neutralized five Indian-sponsored terrorists during an operation in Pishin district on February 22, 2026. The Counter-Terrorism Directorate (CTD) reported that this intelligence-led offensive was carried out in response to reports of terror groups operating within the region. ISPR confirmed that Fitna al Khwarij, a known Indian proxy group, had been caught red-handed.

Upon entering their hideout, CTD teams encountered multiple terrorists and seized weapons and explosives. The situation escalated into a firefight, where four terrorists were killed by enemy fire. A fifth suicide bomber detonated in an attempt to escape, but was subdued during the engagement.

After securing the site, ISPR released a statement emphasizing that all recovered items would be sanitized to prevent any further use against Pakistan. Subsequent sanitization operations are being conducted throughout the area.

Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies under the “Azm-e-Isteheem” campaign continue their relentless pursuit of terror groups like Fitna al Khwarij, which have been active in Pishin for months. ISPR emphasized that this mission highlights Pakistan’s commitment to upholding its national security interests by eliminating foreign-backed terrorism from the nation.

The ongoing operations are part of the Federal Apex Committee’s National Action Plan, a comprehensive strategy designed to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistani soil.
